Your essay wants the night owl in me to become a morning person 🤩Best i can do is stay up for the sunrise, walk, soak in the morning sounds and come back and sleep. 🤩
It is when I started going to bed early that I started waking up early. This was only some ten years back. I didn't intend to become a morning person but I chanced upon early mornings and then I realized it was the best part of the day!
I love your sunny attitude to mornings, Karthik. You turn chili-pili and cleaning sweeps and bhajans from phones into raga, everything that would send a non-morning person like me straight back to bed, if I ever were to step out in those early hours. It's a beautiful take, one I will try to remember next time I'm forced out of bed at a ghastly hour!
Karthik!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favourite Karthik essay has arrived. Yayyyy. Dancing with the dawn you’ve painted in these lines. What a timelapse of the morning hours. Such compassionate observation of the interaction between stray dogs and pet dogs. Also want to discuss The Gift with you. Aaaa… excited to read all over again. 🧡💛
Oh Karthik! Yaar, this is so beautiful - and I'm not even a morning person lol Like Savvy, the best I would do is soak up the early morning pleasures only to come to my bed and savour it all in my sleep lol
I wasn't a morning person either. When I moved to my village, we would end our days by 10 pm and since I was going to bed so early, I started to wake up by 6 am because of the body clock. But once I discovered early mornings, I got hooked!

As a fellow morning person, who loves walks and such observations, I join you. “Peak hour for human cheer” :)))).
Yayyy! :)))))

I wish you experience the glimmer of early mornings and there will be no looking back after that :)

Thank you so much, Raju!
As always, uplifting feedback :)))
Oh yes, let's discuss 'The Gift'! I read Atwood's foreword yesterday and also felt like re-reading the book!

Did you say early and 10pm in the same breath?! Dude, you’re above humans! ;)
This piece truly speaks my heart and has put a smile on my face. Forever an Early Bird.
I discovered early mornings some 10 years back, and this is the best lifestyle change I have made :)
Definitely, waking up with the sun does wonders to our health. I have been an early bird since KV days.
