Lovely! Mumbai, meri jaan, Karthik. A Mumbaikar here settled in the States for eons but my heart, still there, drives me back every year❤️. Which Parsi Colony did you go to? I grew up in the one in Dadar where mom still lives. I visit her in a couple of months to experience the “paaus” or the rains you danced under!

Thanks so much, Anu! I absolutely loved your piece on Dadar Parsi Colony! JJ used to sneak us into Cusrow Baug in Colaba. Haha, we used to have akuri and bun-maska with chai at the clubhouse :D

Karthik I want to go to Bombay again after reading this. I was there only 10 days back and now this intense longing to be there.

Your words took me there . And that dance .

I remember that picture of yours :) Marine Drive is a heritage site that should be preserved - by not building bridges in parallel to it. I understand that connectivity is a necessity. But they are building a new sea link opposite Bandstand (Bandra). The sea view won't be the same anymore!

Sigh , they have already destroyed Worli sea face. A taxi driver was telling me that in few years Nariman point will be gone too. :(
